Welcome to Blueliner Insights

Most of what gets written about wealth, family offices, and personal finance is written by people selling something. The advice rhymes. The conclusions feel pre-decided. The reader is somewhere between a target and an afterthought.

We don’t want to add to that.

Blueliner Insights is a place to think out loud about the cross-disciplinary problems we actually see in our clients’ financial lives — the places where investments meet tax, where business decisions meet personal balance sheets, where a vendor relationship turns out to matter more than a portfolio choice. The things that fall between desks at most firms.

What we’ll write about

A few rough buckets:

  • Coordination failures we’ve seen — anonymized accounts of the kinds of problems that emerge when a client’s advisors don’t talk to each other, and how we approach fixing them.
  • Cross-disciplinary thinking — pieces that sit at the intersection of two service lines (tax × markets, business × administrative, IT × security) rather than living squarely inside one.
  • Quiet themes in international wealth — observations from working with private clients across the US, Europe, Asia, and South America.
  • The occasional contrarian read — when our view diverges from the industry default, we’ll explain why.

What we won’t write about

Market predictions. Stock tips. Productized “five things every family office should do” posts. We’re not running an SEO content factory and the audience we want to reach is allergic to that style anyway.

Cadence

Not weekly. Maybe quarterly. Sometimes more often when something specific is on our mind. The point is the thinking, not the volume.

If something here is useful to you, we’d be glad to hear from you.
